Dr. Ernest Boles is a managing director of Harald Quandt Holding and the CEO of Auda International L.P. Within Harald Quandt Holding Dr. Boles is in charge of international business development. Dr. Boles is the chairman of Auda’s Executive Committee and, in his capacity as a member of the Investment Committees for Private Equity and Hedge Funds, plays a formative role in Auda’s worldwide investment activities.

Dr. Boles previously gained more than 23 years of experience in the financial sector and in international taxation law. Before joining the Harald Quandt Holding he was the managing director and chief investment officer of Citigroup’s European Wealth Management division. Before that he served as the managing director in charge of the advisory business of Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management Division for Europe and the Near East in London and as the CEO of Morgan Stanley in Zurich. At the beginning of his career in the financial sector Dr. Boles headed the European Wealth Advisory Group at J.P. Morgan, where he was primarily involved in advising companies and family groups in connection with company change management. As an international taxation attorney Dr. Boles has worked in the offices of Rädler, Raupach & Partner in Munich and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in New York.

Dr. Boles was born in the USA. He studied law and received his doctorate at the University of Kansas in 1983. He continued his studies with a Fulbright Scholarship at the University of Hamburg and received a doctorate in law at the University of Munich in 1991.

Dr. Boles holds a number of mandates for the Harald Quandt family, including the position of a board member with Real Estate Capital Partners L.P. and as a member of the Supervisory Board of HQ Trust GmbH.
